Job Description

Siebtechnik Tema Pty Ltd is a leader in the design and manufacture of minerals processing, and wastewater treatment products and services.

We are currently going through a growth period, and we are looking for Mechanical Fitters / Service Technicians and Trade assistants with CHPP experience or transferrable skills. We also offer upskilling, Apprenticeships and continuous training to our staff.

The role is based at our Mackay service facility and due to the nature of the role it is essential that the successful applicants are local to or has accommodation available in the Mackay area.

The primary function of our branches is to provide planned service and repair of Siebtechnik Tema process equipment on site at numerous Coal Handling Preparation Plants in the Bowen Basin. This equipment includes centrifuges, belt filter presses and screens. Weekend and after-hours travel, and short-term overnight accommodation will be required to attend customer service visits located outside the local area. We are also sometimes required to attend site for breakdown work at short notice.

At our workshops we carry out repairs to equipment and parts, including blasting, painting, tiling, and disassembly and reassembly of centrifuges, belt filter presses and screens, and associated components. We also carry a large range of spare parts in our warehouses.

The role will be busy and varied, and never boring. We require a team player with a positive attitude who will do whatever task is assigned to get the job done, and ensure we meet our customers' expectations in regard to delivery and quality. A commitment to working safely and following WH&S and mine site safety rules and regulations is a must.

To be considered for this position you the following will be highly regarded:

Trade Qualified mechanical fitter

Field service experience

CHPP shut down experience

Transferable skills that would be looked at favourably:

Mechanical trade experience

Mill / Industrial process plant experience

We encourage those with experience on site in a Coal Handling Preparation Plant environment and/or experience with service and repairs to centrifuges, belt filter presses and screens or with relatable experience to apply as OEM training will be provided.
