About the role
Service Stream’s Utilities division is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Brisbane team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Mechanical Fitter will perform routine, preventive, and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater treatment and delivery infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability. The role also includes delivering small minor works projects and contributing to the ongoing improvement of critical infrastructure operations within the region.
Key responsibilities include fault finding, equipment repair, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of assets and plant systems. The Mechanical Fitter will provide technical support to engineers and operational teams, assist with scoping and estimating works, and ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently. The role promotes teamwork, inclusion, and continuous improvement while supporting apprentices, collaborating across disciplines, and fostering strong relationships with trade partners to achieve reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery.
