The Opportunity

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to work across both our workshop and client sites. This role is responsible for producing precision components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to manufacture high-quality components.
  • Perform fitting, assembly, and finishing of metal components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs to ensure equipment runs reliably.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective and timely solutions.
  • Assist in minimising downtime through proactive maintenance and equipment care.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
  • Contribute positively to teamwork and operational performance, supporting colleagues and production targets.

About You

  • Proven experience as a mechanical fitter in both workshop and site environments.
  • Competency in CNC and manual machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical and maintenance skills.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high quality outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational plant environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
