Merrick & Company seeks a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate or graduate student for a paid Summer 2027 Internship in our Greenwood Village, Colorado office.
Merrick’s Summer Internship Program offers meaningful, hands-on experience for students. Designed as a shorter-term, exploratory experience, internships allow students to apply what they’re learning in school while gaining exposure to real projects, professional collaboration, and day-to-day life at an employee-owned company.
The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2027.
The program allows interns to gain technical experience in detailed machine design and fabrication, 3D modeling in CREO (Pro/Engineer), drawing creation in CREO, material selection, calculations in Mathcad and CREO Simulation, piping systems, and exposure to ASME NQA-1 quality requirements.
The position requires the intern to work both independently and collaboratively with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, adhere to schedules and budget commitments, possess good written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate problem-solving ability.

At Merrick, employee ownership drives us as we work alongside our clients to develop the right solutions to better our world. We’re motivated by a need to do the right thing and be the best we can be—and we make decisions based on that, not the bottom line. As employee owners, we’re empowered to find the solutions that have a positive impact on our communities, our company, and our world.
We’re an employee-owned, multi-discipline professional engineering, architecture, surveying, geospatial, and science and technology solutions firm. We serve domestic and international clients in the aerospace; infrastructure; nuclear; energy, manufacturing, and bioprocessing; and life sciences markets.
