Our Agoura Hills site is a multidisciplinary Center of Excellence where mechanical, thermal, electrical, and systems engineers collaborate to develop next-generation test solutions that push the boundaries of performance, reliability, and innovation.

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an inspiring Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and grow a diverse team of mechanical, thermal, and mechanical quality engineers supporting Teradyne's Memory Test Division.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an accomplished engineering professional who is passionate about developing people, driving technical excellence, and influencing the future of advanced semiconductor test equipment. You will play a critical role in building organizational capability while guiding multiple simultaneous, complex, cross-functional development programs that deliver next-generation Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions.

As a leader within a growing organization, you will help establish engineering rigor, develop scalable processes, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. Beyond leading your direct team, you will help shape strategic initiatives that influence a broader mechanical engineering community of more than 100 engineers.

You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product development, manufacturing, and business leadership to deliver solutions involving:

  • High-performance thermal management systems
  • Advanced liquid cooling technologies
  • Precision electromechanical assemblies
  • High-speed signal delivery solutions
  • Next-generation semiconductor test architectures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
  • 5+ years of technical project leadership experience managing complex, multidisciplinary programs
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional engineering initiatives
  • Strong experience with mechanical design, thermal systems, and product development processes
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple organizations
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Previous people management experience (2-3+ years preferred)
  • Experience developing semiconductor capital equipment, automation systems, or complex hardware platforms
  • Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry experience
  • Expertise in thermal management, liquid cooling systems, precision electromechanical design, or high-speed hardware development

Compensation:

The base salary range for this role is $145,500 - 232,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
