We are looking for a mechanical engineering student to intern with our growing team for the summer of 2026 term. You’ve likely heard of Roush, known for its engineering expertise, automotive performance and racing team. We are looking for a mechanical engineering student to intern with our growing Performance Engineering team for the summer of 2026 term. We offer a dynamic work environment and exposure to many unique projects! This position is a paid internship and is located inLivonia, MI.

To be considered as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will need:

• Minimum sophomore standing at a college or university
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related mechanical degree
• Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
• Proficient in MS Office
• Strong desire to learn body and vehicle engineering systems design, development, and testing as it is related to the automotive industry
• Willingness and desire to get hands-on experience
• Willing and able to work a 40-hour work week M-F onsite May through August

A successful Mechanical Engineering Intern may also have:

• Related education and experience in mechanical engineering
• Prior internship experience in an automotive related environment
• Hands-on mechanical experience through educational or personal hobbies
• Interest in an automotive culture
• Mechanical project team experience (SAE Formula/Baja/EV/etc.)
