Raytheon’s Air Launched Effectors Department is currently searching for a Technical Intern to work on a multi-disciplined team supporting the design and/or production support of Air Launched Effectors products and subsystems. Your qualifications could add tremendous value to our team.

What You Will Do

  • Your responsibilities may include supporting concept development, detailed design, analysis, integration and test, support of transition to production efforts, factory production line support and product improvement.
  • Additional duties may include root cause / corrective action and problem resolution at our on-site labs and factories or at various suppliers. Candidate will work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads/Program Managers to ensure that engineering requirements are defined, risks are managed, and schedules/budgets are met.
  • You will work within the process to ensure Technical Data Package quality per ASM Y14.5.
  • You will work under supervision of an Engineering team lead in performing your duties.
  • As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, your decisions will be data driven in nature and require preparing technical justification analysis reports as well as presenting to a variety of Engineering Review Boards.
  • 3D Parametric Modeling
  • Communication of technical information by way of presentations and other means​


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience with Creo modeling and drafting
    Experience with Windchill and configuration management

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
