Job Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer (MCAD) to join our client's team in Hayward, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented design engineer with 3–4 years of production-level SolidWorks experience who thrives on translating complex engineering concepts into highly accurate, manufacturable models and digital twins for modular building assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and release production-ready 3D CAD models, detailed fabrication drawings, assemblies, and complete bills of materials (BOMs).
• Drive QA/QC protocols across MCAD content to ensure strict adherence to internal design rules and recognized industry standards (ASME/ISO).
• Coordinate mechanical designs against structural and MEP boundaries to eliminate spatial clashes and refine off-site panel integration.
• Evolve digital twin infrastructure by establishing standardized, scalable parametric modeling templates and reusable component libraries.
• Provide direct engineering support on the factory floor during initial product rollouts, gathering production feedback to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM).

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical accreditation/certification).
• 3 to 4 years of recent, hands-on SolidWorks experience generating complex parametric models, mechanical assemblies, and production drafting packages.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, material properties, standard tolerances, and design for assembly (DFA) techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical interfaces, mounting systems, or MEP component integration.
• Excellent organizational skills paired with effective written and verbal communication for cross-functional teamwork.
