This position is ideal for engineers who take initiative, enjoy mentoring others, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive mechanical engineering activities for New Product Development (NPD) projects, from concept through production launch.
  • Works on Engineered-to-Order (ETO) design projects to meet customer requirements in a team environment.
  • Validate cost-optimized solutions for existing and new products under VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) initiatives.
  • Develop and manage 3D models, 2D drawings, and product documentation using PTC Creo and PLM tools.
  • Provide technical direction for component and system-level design, validation, and integration across cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate BoM creation, product release activities, and Engineering Change Orders using PLM tools.
  • Plan and support design validation activities including prototype builds and DVT testing. Support lab validation, root cause analysis, and resolution of product issues across prototype and production phases.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to refine designs and achieve cost, quality, and schedule goals.
  • Coordinate globally to maintain consistency in design practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development and mechanical system design.
  • Strong understanding of thermal and fluid systems, HVAC, hydronic, or data center cooling products.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as PTC Creo and PLM systems such as Oracle PD Cloud or equivalent.
  • Experience in DVT testing, design validation, and field issue resolution.
  • Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively across functions and regions.
  • Experience with CFD, FEA, or reliability analysis.
  • Familiarity with UL, CE, or ASME standards.
  • Experience with supplier collaboration and design-for-cost programs.
