Damen Winch Technology (DWT) in Zwolle (regio Overijssel) is sinds 2015 dé specialist in het ontwikkelen en ontwerpen van (scheeps)lieren en heavy-duty mechanische systemen. Als onderdeel van Damen Shipyards Group – wereldwijd bekend om onze hoogwaardige schepen – ontwerpen we standaardlieren die worden geproduceerd in onze faciliteiten in China en Polen.
Onze systemen zijn te vergelijken met toepassingen in de machinebouw, heavy equipment en offshore industrie. De lieren worden gebruikt op zowel Damen-schepen als die van andere scheepsbouwers.
Met een klein en ervaren team werken we dagelijks aan innovatieve en hoogwaardige mechanische ontwerpen. Door de groei van onze projecten zoeken we een enthousiaste Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer die graag complexe systemen bedenkt, ontwerpt en realiseert.
De functie
Als Mechanical Engineer in Zwolle werk je aan het ontwerpen, berekenen en detailleren van mechanische systemen zoals lieren en aandrijvingen.
Tijdens de inwerkperiode leer je van collega’s de benodigde product- en systeemkennis en werk je met bestaande ontwerpen en rekenmodellen. Je start met het uitwerken van detailtekeningen in CAD (bijv. Autodesk Inventor).
Na deze periode krijg je steeds meer verantwoordelijkheid voor het volledige engineeringproces: van concept en berekening tot detailengineering en productie.

De ideale kandidaat
Afgeronde opleiding Werktuigbouwkunde (mbo 4 of hbo)
Ervaring als Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer of Engineer Machinebouw
Klaar voor een 2e of 3e stap in je carrière
Ervaring met 2D/3D CAD (bij voorkeur Autodesk Inventor)
Affiniteit met machinebouw, rotating equipment, aandrijftechniek of heavy equipment
Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels
