We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Antwerp.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define mechanical equipment requirements by preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as specifications, datasheets, calculations, and drawings for various equipment types (heat transfer equipments, packaged units, pressure vessels, rotating equipments, material handling equipments and HVAC) in line with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Support the development of equipment layouts, ensuring compliance with safety, operability, and maintainability requirements.
  • Perform technical evaluations of vendor proposals and assist with procurement activities for mechanical equipment.
  • Lead mechanical project team - on a project basis - and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (process, civil, electrical, control system, instrumentation) to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases, including resolving field engineering queries.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP sessions as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the regional engineering team

Basic Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in (Electro)Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering within industrial projects (oil & gas, chemical, energy, or similar sectors).
  • Strong communication skills with diverse audiences, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a time-conscious and efficient manner.
  • Flexible and willing to travel to project sites.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
