We invite high-calibre candidates to fill the Mechanical Engineer position in Malaysia and be based at Maverick United Consulting Engineers, Bukit Jalil. KL.

Job Duties

• Prepare, develop, and review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and equipment selections for projects.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical, ELV, and other building services disciplines.
• Prepare design deliverables including basis of design reports, schematics, layouts, equipment schedules, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and technical queries, and provide technical support during construction and installation works.
• Support testing, commissioning, equipment start-up, functional testing, and handover activities, including reviewing as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of Mechanical Engineering design experience, preferably within an engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, pumping, piping, and associated mechanical systems.
• Experience in design development, design reviews, technical coordination, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Familiarity with relevant standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, BS/EN), BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks, and testing & commissioning activities
