As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of next-generation System Level Test (SLT) platforms and enabling technologies. This role focuses on delivering technically sound, innovative solutions to medium-complexity engineering problems while balancing customer requirements, technical risk, and manufacturing scalability. You will work closely with external customer-facing teams and internal cross-functional development partners to translate system architecture concepts into high-volume, manufacturable products.
This role is responsible for managing relationships and coordinating activities with key automation vendors in Taiwan and throughout the region. Effective performance requires a high degree of fluency in both English and Mandarin to support cross-cultural communication and collaboration.
In this role, you will also provide lifecycle support for Saturn/ARS platforms, traveling to customer and manufacturing sites in the region to develop firsthand insight into the highest-impact field issues. You will serve as a key engineering resource to Teradyne manufacturing engineers and contract manufacturers, driving timely resolution of design, quality, and sourcing challenges. You will additionally lead regional proof-of-concept and qualification testing for new and replacement components, ensuring continued reliability and supply continuity across the installed base.
