Key Responsibilities
Starting with Mechanical 3D modelling and creation of electronic components and PCBA assemblies using
CAD NX on an initial team setup
• Further development of the ECAD/ MCAD interface together collaborating with mechanical, layout
and IT experts in Germany.
• Collaborate with PCB librarians, layouter, hardware engineers, manufacturing teams globally.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize workflows and reducing library creation
turnaround time while maintaining high accuracy.
• Drive library quality assurance processes, including audits, peer reviews, and automated validation
checks to eliminate design errors and reduce rework.
Followed by:
• Design of mechanical and electromechanical components, assemblies and subsystems for medical
technology devices
• Design of mechanical parts using various manufacturing processes such as sheet metal processing,
milling, plastic injection molding and aluminum die casting
• Work on specification of cables and cable harnesses, including the associated connection
technologies for electromechanical assemblies and components
• Development of cooling concepts for electromechanical components
• Implementation of sustaining and design-to-cost measures for series products
• Alignment of design with the Siemens EDA Expedition layout results
• Support design verification and validation (V&V) activities for engineering changes, product
enhancements, and localization projects.
• Contribute to product reliability improvement initiatives through failure analysis, FMEA, root cause
investigations, and design reviews.
• Initiate, review, and implement engineering changes through Engineering Change Request Collaborate with international design teams to adapt products to local standards, material availability, and supply chain requirements. • Drive localization initiatives by identifying and qualifying alternate materials, components, and suppliers • Apply DFM/DFT principles to meet strict production and reliability requirements. • Mentor junior librarians and design engineers, providing training on best practices, tools, and standards for library management and build up local competency.
