Job Description

, Responsibilities and Expectations:

- Own mechanical design and development of HID products including keyboards and mice, from concept to mass production

- Create and review 3D/2D mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications

- Lead BOM creation, review, and cost optimization activities

- Conduct design reviews (DFM / DFA / DFMEA) to ensure product reliability, manufacturability, and quality

- Collaborate with EE, ID, FW, PM, and SQE teams throughout the product development cycle

- Audit and manage mechanical suppliers and manufacturing partners, including tooling reviews and process validation

- Support tooling development, mold flow analysis, and first article inspection (FAI)

- Drive innovation ideas related to structure, materials, mechanisms, and user experience

- Analyze and resolve mechanical issues during EVT/DVT/PVT and mass production

- Ensure designs meet reliability, regulatory, and safety requirements

- Support continuous improvement in design standard

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

- 5+ years (Engineer) / 8+ years (Senior) experience in consumer electronics mechanical design, preferably HID products

- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die casting, and surface finishing

- Experience with keyboard and mouse structures, including switches, key mechanisms, buttons, scroll wheels, and assemblies

- Proficient in mechanical design tools such as: SolidWorks / Creo / NX (3D CAD) / AutoCAD (2D drawings)

- Familiar with BOM management, tolerance analysis, and stack-up analysis

- Experience working with overseas suppliers and conducting supplier audits

- Knowledge of EVT / DVT / PVT development processes

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple-project environment
