Your Job


You will contribute to the design,developmentand verification of medical devices for inhaled medicines, working from early concept through tolatestagevalidation.You’lltranslate requirements into specifications, develop components and prototypes, run analyses and testing, and ensure all work meets regulatory and quality standards.You’ll strengthen internal capability, collaborate across sites and partners, and help advance the Device Development Department’s technical excellence

The Device Development Department is a multidisciplinary engineering group focused oninhalationbasedmedical devices. We work mostlyon sitein a flexible environment, collaborating closely with project teams,suppliersand external partners. The team valuesknowledgesharing, continuous improvement and buildinglongterm capability.


What You Will Do


  • Design translation— Convert design inputs into clear, actionable specifications for devices, components, test equipmentand processes.

  • CAD & prototyping— Use CAD (preferably Creo), engineering design skillsand prototyping methods to create components, functionalprototypesand test rigs.

  • Testing & analysis— Plan, execute and interpret empirical testing, development analysesand data assessments; produce clear technical reports.

  • Documentation— Write specifications, verification plans, protocolsand validation/testmethoddocumentation.

  • Regulatory compliance— Apply ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and 21 CFR 820.30 to ensure compliant device development.

  • Continuous improvement — Enhance internal practices, support capability building and collaborate effectively across teams and partners


Desirable (experiencedlevel):

  • Review and approve design, specification,validationandriskmanagementdocumentation.

  • Provide technical direction and recognisedexpertisein device design or development.

  • Present technical reports at design reviews.

  • Apply deeper knowledge of medical device development, mechanics, fluid mechanics, plastics,manufacturingand prototyping.

  • Use tools such as LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB and advanced Creo workflows.

  • Mentor junior engineers and strengthen team capability.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Recognisedexpertisein one or more areas of device design or development.

  • Strong capability in empirical testing, datainterpretationand technical reporting.

  • Experience with advanced tools (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, Creo).

  • Deep understanding of medical device development, mechanics,plasticsand manufacturing technologies.

  • Ability to mentor others and elevate team capability.

  • A 2:1 or above in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design.
