The Mechanical Engineeris responsible forthe independentselection, evaluation, and application of relevant engineering knowledge,techniquesand procedures in support of the safe and effective operation, maintenance and management of facility assets,infrastructureand systems.

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance (No exceptions—only cleared candidates will be considered.) or Australian Citizen who can obtain theappropriate levelof security clearance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities/Duties

• Perform technical studies, analyses,investigationsand consultations.

• Identify,defineand develop detailed requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, replacement,upgradeand/or recapitalization.

• Design and/or develop solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate to extreme scope and complexity across the mechanical engineering discipline.

• Review andprovidetechnical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and system changes, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.

• Perform engineering calculations in support of facility infrastructure operation and design.

• Provide technical recommendations, input, direction and advice on facilities system, infrastructure and equipment reliability, operation, maintenance, life-cyclemanagementand costing.

• Development of ROM costing estimates in support of facility infrastructure, equipment and system modification, upgrade,replacementand/or recapitalization.

• Evaluate operational systems, equipment,processesand infrastructure in support of general and targeted optimization and improvement initiatives.

• Ensure, promote, andmaintainhealth and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace.

• Any other reasonable duties as requested

• Field: Mechanical Engineering or other relevant or related discipline Desirable

• Post Graduate Qualifications

• PE/CPEng certification

Experience and Skills - Minimum Essential

• Familiarity with HVAC and hydronic systems, data centre cooling systems, buildingmanagementand control systems.

• Minimum one year of experience with building management and control systems, building management and control systems and facilities operation and maintenancerequired

• Experience with project management and leadership desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling,standingand walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

It is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain andretaintheappropriate levelof security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee willrequirea Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian).

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

• At least 18 years of age.

• Completing work tasks in a safe manner

• Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to “STOP WORK” if a job is unsafe orpossessa danger to the environment
