
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling the operation, maintenance, project functions, resources and staff with invaluable knowledge in an effective and efficient manner.

Operation & Maintenance - Support in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, dryers, fans, motors, and utility equipment. Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability. Gain exposure to basic electrical and instrumentation systems.
Project Support - Provide assistance in small-scale modifications and improvement projects. Support documentation, BOQ preparation, and coordination with vendors under the guidance of senior engineers. Learn project management practices by contributing to timelines and progress tracking.
Inventory Assistance - Help maintain workshop inventory and preventive maintenance checklists. Assist in identifying critical spare parts, updating records, and following up on material deliveries to ensure smooth equipment operation.
Contractor Coordination - Support senior staff in supervising contractors for routine maintenance and minor project jobs. Assist in monitoring work progress, verifying petty job bills, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Team Collaboration - Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to execute maintenance tasks. Participate in technical discussions, learn best practices, and contribute to team-based problem-solving.
Policy Compliance - Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures during maintenance and project activities.
Continuous Improvement - Contribute ideas for energy conservation and process optimization. Assist in preparing feasibility notes and support safe execution of improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Support - Participate in training sessions (classroom and on-field) to enhance technical skills. Support communication with procurement and other departments for timely resolution of maintenance needs.
