About The Role:
Established Mechanical Engineer. Conducts product development activities and studies, executes and analyzes tests, and produces parts, designs, or sketches, following all appropriate Mechanical Engineering design, safety, and qualification standards.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Team member of the Packaged Chiller/Splits Development organization
• Support engineering activities for assigned development programs
• Thermodynamic based modeling and optimization of chiller system design
• Develop chiller system architecture that meets or exceeds the product development requirements focusing on schedule, performance and cost
• Develop heat exchanger components in collaboration with heat transfer technology experts. Experience with ASME pressure vessel design is preferred
• Confirm product design performance, capability and reliability in the engineering product test laboratories
• Collaborate with both internal and external compression development teams to seamlessly integrate compressor designs into chiller system designs
• Work cross functionally with operations teams to effectively launch designs to production
• Collaborate with the product marketing teams locally to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3 + years of experience in mechanical engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering
• HVAC system design experience in support of new product development or sustaining engineering programs
• Commercial chiller, split system or packaged rooftop laboratory testing, highly preferred
• Project planning and leadership experience
• Strong communication skills, primarily in English
