What you’ll do:

Join our growing Mining team in Newcastle and play a key role in delivering practical, high-quality mechanical engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in pumps and piping systems to support the design and delivery of small to medium-scale mining and resources projects. This role sits within our established NSW mechanical team and offers exposure to multidisciplinary project environments.

  • Design and analyse pumping systems and pipeline networks for mining and industrial applications

  • Develop technical specifications, reports and design documentation

  • Support project delivery across concept, design and execution phases

  • Undertake hydraulic calculations and system modelling

  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders, including contractors

  • Contribute to maintenance strategies and operational improvements for plant and infrastructure

About you:

  • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer

  • Proven experience in pump and pipeline design within mining, water, or heavy industry

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic design and system analysis

  • Experience preparing technical documentation and specifications

  • Exposure to project delivery and contractor coordination

  • Proficient in relevant CAD tools and engineering analysis methods

  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills
