Our award-winning client is seeking an Mechanical Engineer to join their team.As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes at our state-of-the-art Shelbyville, KY plant. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality automotive components efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Design and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing components. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses.
Design and specify manufacturing equipment, collaborating with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. Oversee equipment installation and commissioning.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and implement quality control procedures, monitor product quality, and optimize processes.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive.
Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, tooling, and equipment.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Experience with process optimization and lean manufacturing.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with roll forming simulation software.
Knowledge of automation and robotics.
Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
