What You Will Do
- Design and develop high-precision motion mechanisms for a novel robotics platform.
- Create and iterate mechanical systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in software, robotics, and product design to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct hands-on prototyping and testing to refine designs based on real-world user feedback.
- Own key components of the mechanical architecture, driving innovation in personal robotics.
- Participate in rapid iteration cycles to enhance product performance and user experience.
- Contribute to the overall design and engineering strategy, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in robotics.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD design tools, specifically SolidWorks and Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their integration with control systems.
- Experience in rapid prototyping and iterative design processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred
- Background in robotics or hardware development.
- Familiarity with perception systems and their application in robotics.
- Experience working in startup environments or on innovative product development.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $150K to $250K, commensurate with experience. The company offers a dynamic work environment where creativity and ownership are highly valued.
