Job Description

Vertiv is looking for a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the R&D Department, based in Nové Mesto nad Váhom. He/She will be mainly focused on the floor mount/chiller products.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• To design new products or re-engineer existing ones, with a focus on the mechanical aspects (mainly sheet metal and piping), collaborating with suppliers, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the necessary product marketing inputs.
• To create and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
• Work in a structured company using PLM system to create items and managing the revisions.
• To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
• To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility; improving, updating, reviewing the mechanical drawings according to the information from the Production, Procurement and Logistics departments, to simplify the assembly, reducing the costs and improving the quality.

Qualifications:

• University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or engineering
• English language - intermediate level
• Knowledge of CREO , Solid Edge or Pro-Engineer or other CAD systems
• Ability to read technical documentation
• Ability to work in a Team and to solve problems independently.
