In ARQUIMEA AEROSPACE DEFENCE & SECURITY develops safer and more reliable defense systems through technology, including unmanned aerial systems (UAVs), sensing systems, command and control software, and aiming systems

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer whose primary role will involve in developing and researching defense systems, from the preliminary phase to industrialization.

Tasks to be performed:

- Mechanical design and creation of manufacturing drawings

- Bill of materials (BOM) and checklist oversight

- Selection of commercial components

- Development of design documentation

- Supervision of manufacturing, assembly and commissioning

- Creation of test plans, assistance and supervision of system tests

Required Education and Skills:

Level – Degree • University degree /master’s in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, Aeronautics or similar.

Additional Training/Qualifications:

• Advanced english is essential.

Specific Knowledge:

• Solidworks or other similar CAD programs.

• Knowledge of Composite Materials.

• Design of flight parts for multirotors and low-weight fixed wing aircrafts.

• Knowledge of electronics and use of equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. will be valued.

• Knowledge of project management will be valued.

• Knowledge of the defense sector and defense regulations for design and testing MIL-STD, STANAG will be valued.

Minimum Required Experience:

• 2 - 5 years of experience

• Previous experience in UAVs, adquired from work or hobbies

• Desirable previous experience in the defence sector.

The position is located in our office of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
