About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at NOV, based in Italy, you will utilize your technical expertise and professional experience to contribute to the successful delivery of Cablelay, Pipelay, Handling, Lifting, and Special Equipment projects. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions and detailed designs throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from proposals to completion, including site installation and commissioning.

NOV Remacut, located in Rivoli, Italy, is part of NOV’s Energy Products and Services segment and specialises in the design, manufacture, and servicing of Pipe and Cables Lay Systems and equipment for the oil and gas industry. The Rivoli site supports global operations by delivering high-quality engineered solutions that enable safe, efficient, and reliable drilling and production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for Cablelay, Pipelay, Handling, Lifting, and Special Equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as a technical focal point for specific projects, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Translate client-driven requirements into innovative, profitable solutions.
  • Prepare mechanical deliverables for quoting, designing, and meeting customer needs.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail and understand the commercial implications of engineering decisions.
  • Participate in site installations and commissioning activities as required.
  • Maintain a keen focus on delivery timelines and project milestones.
  • Continuously develop technical and interpersonal skills through diverse and challenging projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient with 3D cad
  • Proficient with FEM analysis
  • Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment design.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to take on fresh challenges and expand your technical knowledge and experience.
