Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Kankakee, Illinois. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment for pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment for pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine the best solutions for our clients
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop project plans and ensure timely completion of projects
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems
- Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation related to mechanical systems
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and installation of mechanical systems
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues or problems with mechanical systems and equipment
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in mechanical engineering to continuously improve our services and offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment design and installation
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
