Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the supervision consultancy team for a large-scale infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah The selected candidate will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising mechanical and utility works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.

  • Supervise and monitor mechanical and utility construction works on site in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.

  • Assist the Resident Engineer (Mechanical) in overseeing mechanical infrastructure works.

  • Inspect and supervise installation of potable water supply networks

  • Monitor works related to firefighting systems and associated infrastructure

  • Supervise installation of gas distribution networks

  • Monitor construction of stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems

  • Supervise installation of irrigation systems and landscape-related mechanical works

  • Ensure contractor compliance with approved method statements, drawings, and quality standards

  • Review contractor submissions including shop drawings and material submittals

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure proper construction practices.

  • Assist in preparing inspection reports, site reports, and progress updates

  • Identify and report technical issues, non-conformances, and delays to the Resident Engineer.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure construction or supervision projects.

  • Experience in utility infrastructure projects including potable water, firefighting, gas distribution, stormwater drainage, sanitary sewage, and irrigation systems.

  • Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of construction supervision, inspection procedures, and quality control standards

  • Strong coordination, inspection, and reporting skills.
