Job Description

The Drafter/Designer supports the Zeeco Boiler Burner team by[CD1]  creating high‑quality 3D designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. This role works closely with engineering staff to develop accurate models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings that meet project specifications and Zeeco quality standards. 
Job Duties:Analyzes project mechanical specifications / requirements to design appropriate equipment for the application.Assists engineering team with confirmation of equipment selection and design.Produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for parts, assemblies, and complete products , including sectional views, intricate features, hidden details, and nonstandard geometries.Use Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault to manage models, assemblies, and drawing revisions.Makes arithmetic computations using standard formulas. Assignments may include information on methods, procedures, sources of information, precedents to follow, and more detailed verbal instructions from project engineer and/or supervisor. Simple revisions to existing drawings may be assigned with a verbal explanation of desired results. Assists project engineer in ensuring all required drawings are completed and meets project requirements.  Assists with reviewing customer mark-up prints and disposition of comments.Shop visits and travel to assist with design changes as required per the project and to assist shop personnel with guidelines for production of equipment.
Qualifications ·         Associate degree in Drafting, CAD Technology, Mechanical Design, or equivalent experience[CD3] ·         Must have experience with Autodesk Inventor (preferred) or similar CAD software·         Experience using Microsoft Office, Word / Excel / Foxit pdfs·         5+ years drafting/design experience·         10% travel expected·         Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to design standards·         Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructionsFamiliarity with Autodesk Vault or other PDM systems is a plusExperience with Navisworks or AutoCAD Plant 3D is a plus but not required
