The team develops opening modules for our existing & future products. The opening module is the mechanical system within a roof window that enables controlled opening, closing, and positioning. It includes components such as hinges, linkages, and operating mechanisms, ensuring smooth functionality, durability, and compliance with performance and safety requirements.
Meet your future team
You will join the Opening Modules team within the Product Development – Windows department. The team collaborates closely with technical project managers and cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, product quality, and category management. Together, you will ensure robust, efficient, and high-performing product solutions while continuously improving design processes and workflows.
What we offer
In this role, you will play a key part in developing, maintaining, and optimizing opening modules. You will work hands-on with mechanical design, calculations, and 3D modelling while collaborating across the organization to deliver strong technical solutions.
More specifically, your tasks will be to:
Develop, test, and document mechanical solutions, including calculations, simulations, and multi-linkage systems
Create and maintain technical drawings and 3D models using CAD tools such as Creo
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including DFMEA and verification activities
Update designs based on engineering changes and feedback
Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Ensure compliance with internal standards and relevant regulations
Contribute to improving design tools, workflows, and efficiency (including the potential use of AI)
Ensure proper version control and consistency in documentation
What you will bring
You are a structured and detail-oriented professional with strong mechanical understanding and a collaborative mindset. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you balance multiple tasks and contribute to continuous improvement.
Moreover, we expect that you:
Have 5-10 years of experience working with Mechanical Engineering
Hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. It’s an extra plus if you have a vocational education e.g. Precision Toolmaker
Are proficient in CAD software (e.g. Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
If you have experience working with SAP it’s a plus
Understand technical drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes
Have experience working in an engineering or product development environment
Preferably have experience in a system engineering setup
Possess strong communication and collaboration skills
Take a proactive and solution-oriented approach to your work
