
As a Closures Sealing Engineer, you will work with some of the industry’s brightest minds and take engineering ownership of complete static and dynamic sealing systems as well as Daylight Opening trims for Tesla vehicles. Your work will focus on static and dynamic seals for current vehicle programs, with an emphasis on quality improvement, cost reduction, and manufacturing enhancements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the engineering and design of static and dynamic seals and DLO trims for future vehicle programs.
Your ownership of seals will include initiating and overseeing both virtual (CAE) and physical testing and analysis to validate new designs from concept to production. This role provides a great opportunity to interface with all aspects of vehicle development. You will work closely with the body, closures, electrical/firmware, exterior, and interior teams, as well as with manufacturing engineering, to establish world-class seal and trim designs along with world-class assembly processes.
