Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will design and develop cutting-edge mechanical solutions, ensuring high-quality and reliable products using your CAD proficiency and mechanical design expertise. You will report directly to our Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and you will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.

The Growth Engine Structures Group within the Component Design & Analysis (CDA) directorate is responsible for the design, development and analysis of static gas turbine engine components. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing strength, fatigue, containment, heat transfer, and various other types of stress analyses. Other responsibilities include test support, communicating with Project engineering teams, resource and manpower planning, conduction of design reviews, presentations to internal and external customers, ensuring proper documentation of work performed and engaging in department process improvement initiatives.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines
  • Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods
