
You will be the Mechanical Engineering Design supporting development and production of missile systems test equipment.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the Integrated Product Team in creating detailed designs, layouts, and drawings for various components and subassemblies. You will play a key role in developing and generating CREO layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and generating CREO layouts and detailed drawings for ICDs, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and integration test articles
* Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM
* Coordinating with the IPT team, suppliers, GSC, electronic packaging, and structural/thermal/material analysts to ensure design excellence
* Managing drawing releases, responding to CRs, generating CN's, and presenting/supporting change boards and design reviews
* Performing design trade studies to evaluate cost, weight, performance, and structural/thermal benefits
* Supporting & upgrading test equipment hardware designs for unit under test (UUT) fixturing
* Support the build and assembly of hardware and test fixtures
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in an Engineering related field
Strong understanding of mechanical design engineering principles and familiarization with industry practices
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and ability to perform moderately complex tolerance analysis
Minimum 1 year experience with Creo or similar 3D computer-aided design software
Have the ability to generate engineering drawings, documents, parts lists and specifications
Have the ability to work with team members and contribute to projects
Have the ability to contribute to investigative efforts and report status to interdisciplinary teams
Hands‑on experience with machining, fabrication, and assembly of tactical or test equipment hardware.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD).
Experience with aerospace hardware such as structures, optical or radio frequency (RF) sensors, energetics, propulsion, or flight control systems.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
