Job Description

Understand and design all aspects and features of turboexpanders and compressors machinery. Become a specialist in package design of turbo-machinery and interface with process components. Get familiar with related industrial standards like API, ASME and Follow project specification requirements. Getting familiar with all types of valves for auxiliary system including cryogenic types, welded or flanged, Junction boxes, piping and tubing installations. Confidently provide accurate engineering information and answers to project engineers, manufacturing, and service groups. Actively engage in continually improving the turbo expander products designs and components interface to simplify, standardize, reduce cost within industrial standards and customer specifications. Document designs and decisions in a simple and understandable manner.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities

  • Master the process of turbomachine Auxiliary system.
  • Have a strong understanding of the mechanical analysis software’s and structural design
  • Skid design and manufacturing drawings
  • Get familiar with Magnetic bearings and high-speed motors package drawing
  • Understand machine shop practice and be able to communicate with manufacturing personnel.
  • Have a strong knowledge of drafting practice and be able to provide machinery layouts, 3-D models and 2-D drawings.
  • Interact confidently and authoritatively with project engineers via team meetings or by phone to provide accurate technical information.
  • Prepare specifications for the buyout components, such as skid and machine supports piping, tubing, valves and related components.
  • Maintain up to date documentation on all responsible projects.
  • Assist shop in issues related to manufacture of the package
  • Become an expert in most aspect of turbomachinery package design.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar field, per agreement.
  • 5-10 years’ experience working as a turbo machinery engineer.
  • Demonstrate excellence in interpersonal skills including communication, be a self-starter, have a positive make-happen attitude, be able to handle multiple tasks, be a team player
  • Demonstrate the ability to self correct and self improve.
  • Take responsibility for assignments and bring them to simple, effective conclusions.
