Job Description

We're looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and take an active role in designing innovative mechanical systems from concept to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms for advanced defense products.
  • Own the mechanical design process from concept, prototyping, detailed design, validation, and production.
  • Perform hands-on work in the lab, supporting prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
  • Work closely with Hardware, Electronics, Manufacturing, and System Engineering teams to deliver robust and manufacturable solutions.
  • Create complex CAD models and production drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Design mechanisms while balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support engineering investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous product improvements.
  • Travel to manufacturing sites and suppliers when required to support production and validation activities.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design of multidisciplinary products.
  • Strong hands-on approach with willingness to work in the lab and on the production floor.
  • Excellent proficiency in SolidWorks (Surface modeling is an advantage).
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in designing mechanisms.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing technologies, including: Plastic injection molding, CNC machining, Sheet metal design.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and prototype development.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience in the defense, robotics, aerospace, or automotive industries – an advantage.
