Job Description

Support to concept creating and making world class designs, cost effective, high quality and reliable mechanical design of Power Transformers providing cost effective, optimized designs for contracts & tenders based on customers' specifications, international standards and PTR Technology.

Key responsibilities ;

Responsible for carrying out the duties of the mechanical design team, including design, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.

  • Understanding national and international design standards and necessary design tools.
  • Ensuring components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
  • Using specialized software to analyses mechanical withstand and verification of mechanical adequacy of products.
  • Provide Conceptual Mechanical Design, from Tender to Detailed Contract Design.
  • Following non-conformance reports and to ensure to be taking necessary preventive actions.
  • Attend engineering & production reviews to produce error free designs & reliable products, to reduce the cost of non-quality and to insure adequate performance of the unit.
  • Analyzing and respond to customer complaints in a coordination with lead engineers and relavent leaders
  • Preparing the tender and/or contract design, considering international rules and national standards, using the appropriate GE standards and tools, relying on material specifications (technical understandings, costs, procurement loop), and manufacturing capabilities
  • Participate to technical customers meetings when needed and support engineering team to provide solutions to the customers in coordination with PTR experts.
  • Aware of the company and local EHS policies, rules and standards. Showing exemplary behaviors on EHS. Performing the preventive/corrective actions in collaboration with EHS team to avoid the accidents, incidents and environmental damages.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Mechanic Design area & 3D Cad Software (Autodesk, AutoCAD and Inventor)
  • Ability to process and produce technical drawings in 2D and 3D.
  • Advanced level of English both oral & written

  • Sound Knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals
  • Transformers design process experience would be an asset
  • Create and discuss new engineering ideas in design and manufacturing stage.
  • Work Effectively Under time pressure in complex organizational structure.
