The Opportunity

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Automation and Robotics design team in Boston. You will own the design of automated lines and robotic solutions from concept through delivery, working across cross-functional teams to bring complex projects to life. What You'll Do

• Analyze and design automatic lines or components, identifying innovative solutions and documenting new technologies and materials while ensuring compliance with technical specs, standards, safety regulations, and cost constraints.
• Participate in work order teams to define architecture for complex projects.
• Prepare drawings and bills of materials, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, timelines, costs, and safety procedures across the full equipment lifecycle.
• Support production during assembly and testing phases, resolving design questions and managing technical modifications and updates.
• Collaborate with business functions on feasibility studies, supporting or leading efforts in line with directives received.
• Provide technical training to client personnel through structured theoretical training sessions.
• Contribute to the development of new technologies and promote knowledge sharing through documentation and on-the-job training.

You Should Have

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience designing full production lines or components across multiple product types.
• Solid knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and/or SolidEdge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Good understanding of current safety regulations and procedures.
• Knowledge of materials, production processes, and manufacturing techniques.
