Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join our project team in Skelleftea, Sweden. This role will be responsible for managing all Mechanical works on site, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

• Manage and oversee all Mechanical construction activities across the project lifecycle
• Lead day-to-day mechanical site operations in coordination with the wider project team
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained in line with project specifications and standards
• Coordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams
• Manage mechanical subcontractor performance, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and coordination meetings
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to date
• Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings
• Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and technical submittals are issued in line with programme requirements
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability of mechanical systems
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and drive a strong safety culture on site
• Support commercial management by tracking variations, managing costs, and attending weekly commercial meetings
• Issue progress reports to senior management and the project team
• Manage mechanical snagging activities and ensure effective and timely close-out
• Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues

Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
• Minimum 8+ years’ experience within mechanical construction, with a focus on site management
• Proven experience managing mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, and associated services) on large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, coordination, and programme delivery
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, installation practices, and commissioning processes
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
