Barr is seeking a mechanical CADD technician to join our design team. In this hybrid role, you will support the mechanical group on mechanical engineering projects involving data collection, planning, problem-solving, design, and construction assistance. The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary project teams to provide computer-aided drafting using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and other drafting software on a Windows platform. Assignments will include working closely with engineers to create, update, and revise drawings of mechanical and miscellaneous systems and may entail visiting project sites to gather information for drawings.
The ideal candidate for this position is intrinsically motivated and emphasizes client service. They enjoy working independently and as part of a team, using their project communication expertise and technical ability for a variety of projects. They are flexible in working with their project teams and are willing to occasionally modify schedules to meet project deadlines and/or client needs. This person is also relationship-focused, as the role involves serving both internal and external clients.
Compensation: anticipated range of $33.75- 42.75/hour. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as non-exempt (hourly) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
