Job Description

Job Summary:
The Project Lead is responsible for producing and assembling machine(s) and machine parts according to specifications.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job:
• Reads and follows blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Operates material handling equipment.
• Assist coordinator and lead project teams by providing project related information.
• Sets up and runs assemblies per specifications.
• Measures parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers.
• Utilize overhead crane and rigging procedures.
• Fabricates sheet metal.
• Travel to customer sites to install kits and machinery.
• Oversee contracted employees during assembly and install at customer facilities.
• Must train other employees.
• Performs department clean up and improvement projects.
• Manages material inventory.
• Manages and completes dispatch report.
• Performs and manages line audit teams and Bill of Material (BOM).

Occasional Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment.
• Assists other departments.
• Department clean up and improvement projects.
• Facility maintenance and upgrades.

Job Requirements:
• Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma.
• Journeyman Millwright certification, Associates in Electromechanical field, or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to make metric system conversions.
• Must have previous assembly experience.
• Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically required.
• Ability to navigate CAD documents required.
• Familiarity with ERP systems required.
• Must have the knowledge and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, band saw, cut-off saw and grinder.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
• Must be able to collaborate with others (including in-person) to proactively develop solutions.
• Knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics is a plus.
