Join our workshop in Columbus, MS as a Mechanical Assembler
Our winning team is built by continuous investment in skills development, leadership, and well-being. We have an opening at our Columbus, MS facility as a Mechanical Assembler.
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of feeders, pumps, top separator screws & baskets, suction rolls, crown compensating rolls, and other types of rolls including gear driven units. Set-up and operation of drill press saws, boring and milling machines, surface grinders, bearing presses, and lifting devices. You will be required to rebuild the above assemblies as well. Experience working with large, heavy manufacturing equipment with the ability to run overhead crane and forklifts safely and efficiently. This is a 2nd shift position. Your understanding of how quality impacts the success of the organization and ensuring a quality product is provided consistently while continuing to strive for improvement.
Requirements
A high school education with previous manufacturing experience; ideally a minimum of three to five years’ experience. Knowledge of papermaking machinery a plus, but not required. Willing to work with and train candidates with a high level of initiative and personal motivation.
