Your Opportunity: Taylor is seeking a Mechanic Technician who is an advanced role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and machinery. This position requires a high level of expertise and independence in performing complex repairs and providing guidance to junior technicians.

Your Responsibilities:
Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify mechanical issues and malfunctions.
Perform intricate repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other critical components with minimal supervision. Includes preventative maintenance of production equipment and facilities repairs.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
Mentor and train junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices and technical skills.
Collaborate with operations leadership to identify training gaps and opportunities among the production team.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Coordinate with inventory personnel to manage parts procurement, ensuring availability of necessary components for repairs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
Communicate with customers to explain repairs, provide estimates, and offer recommendations for vehicle maintenance.
Occasional equipment setup and changeover required.
Your Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.
You Must Have:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in automotive or mechanical fields preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive or machinery repair, with a proven track record of advanced diagnostic skills.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
May require standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components (up to 70 pounds).
Exposure to noise, fumes, and various environmental conditions.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $32 - $36. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The rate listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
