Engineer mechanic customization for power semiconductor modules.

Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

In your new role, you will play a central role in the mechanical customization of new power semiconductor modules. You will be part of a highly motivated interdisciplinary team and customize new products based on existing product platforms in an agile and flexible environment. In detail, this includes the following activities, among others:

• The independent engineering of the mechanical details and functions of existing packages and product families.
• Your responsibilities range is from the engineering to the introduction to a high-volume production.
• Ensure that new module packages are based on the latest company internal knowledge are integrated into new products and systems in a cost-optimized manner.
• As part of this activity, the constructive designs of our new products are to be defined, considering new materials in the entire chain from the supplier to the product-related manufacturing concept("design-for-manufacturability" / "design-to-cost").
• Particularly in the concept creation phase, your role is characterized by the cross-departmental coordination of specific interests (e.g. electrical engineering, purchasing, production, quality assurance).

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A university degree (Bachelor/Master) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology or a related field of study.
• Ideally you bring a professional experience with you in the field of product development for power semiconductor modules or electrical components for road and rail transport, LED technology, or in the field of renewable energies.
• A proactive mindset combined with a structured and self-organized way of working.
• Excellent communication skills in English to operate effectively in various roles and functions.
• You show a high willingness to travel.
• Experience in the independent design and development of metal and plastic composite components as well as ceramics and thermal management where applicable.
• Ideally experience in project work, in a managerial role or as a team member.
• Ideally professional experience with a 3D CAD system (e.g. Autodesk Inventor and the Vault database) as well as tolerance analysis and metrological software in the work environment.
• Ideally experience in the design of electrical circuits and their realization as PCBs with industry-related tools (e.g. Eagle, Altium,...)
