Job Description

  • Competitive hourly rate + overtime opportunities
  • Must be able to work a rotating day and night shift and be on call on weekends
  • Full uniform & laundry service provided

The Opportunity

  • 70% on the tools / 30% leadership position
  • Leading a team of up to 10 mechanics across day and night shifts
  • Carry out servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns and hydraulic repairs
  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and apprentices
  • Support day-to-day workshop operations and handovers between shifts
  • Drive safety, performance and continuous improvement

About You

  • Trade qualified (Cert III in Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Technology)
  • 3–5+ year’s experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive change
  • Solid diagnostic and heavy vehicle repair experience
  • HR/HC/MC and/or Forklift licence
  • Background in transport, waste, mining or civil (desirable)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment medical and drug screen
