As a Mechanic I on our Houston Machine Shop team, you won't just turn a wrench — you'll disassemble, rebuild, and test the compressor and engine equipment that global energy operators depend on every single day. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex compressor and engine equipment.
• Utilize a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment to complete assembly, disassembly, and testing tasks.
• Conduct risk assessments before performing operations and material movements.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Set up and run test operations in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Keep facility equipment and tooling operational, efficient, and safe.
• Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, and complete required documentation accurately.
• Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and regulations.
• Collaborate closely with your team and communicate clearly to keep projects on schedule.

WHO YOU ARE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
• Comfortable with hands-on physical work — pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending as the job requires.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Solid basic math skills and the ability to read schematics.
• Familiar with hand and power tools and general equipment operation.
• Knowledgeable of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
• Valid driver's license.
• A team player with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to engineering specifications.

PREFERRED

• 2+ years of experience in operations or service center applications.
• Strong working knowledge of natural gas engines and compressor equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical equipment.
