Mechanic - Heavy Equipment - (Farmers, Branch, TX)

Our mechanic will be assigned to a dedicated concrete paving crew and will be with them full time.

• Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment
• Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs
• Tests, installs new or repaired unit

• Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment - Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs
• Tests, installs new or repaired unit back into equipments
• Performs minor tune ups to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the equipments
• Understand system controls, operation, and configurations
• Familiar with transpiration of equipment To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two+ years related mechanic experience and/or training
• Mechanic experience slipform pavers, concrete places, and cure/texture machines - Experience with Gunner & Zimmerman (G&Z) and Gomaco are a huge plus
• Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred - For safety reasons, it is imperative that the employee be able to read and speak fluent English
