Mechanic
Behind every school bus or van driver, there is a talented mechanic who is making a difference by ensuring their vehicles are in safe operating condition and perform well while transporting our kids! Working as a Mechanic with Krise Transportation, you will be recognized as a critical member of the team that forms the essential link between students and schools. How Do I Start? What is Required?
- Fill out the online application, and a Company representative will call you to get the process started!
- Must have your own basic hand tools (Company provides major equipment such as diagnostic scan tools)
- You must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection License
- You must have (or we will provide you free training to get):
- - Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsements.
- Must have and maintain the following to be able to drive a school van or bus:
- - A satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records
- - A satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- - Passing an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical w/ tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- - Participate in and pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment.
