We also deliver our products using our own trucks and trailors and this is why we are on the search for a qualified mechanic to assist with servicing and maintenance requirements.

About the Role
This position plays an integral part in our national operations and reports directly to our Fleet Manager. The role is responsible for all preventative maintenance and repair work including scheduled servicing, and operates as a 'backup' resource for the Fleet Manager. Other tasks include:
- maintain accurate records of services, inspections and repairs done on all company assets.
- diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and carry out repairs as required.
- conduct roadworthy inspections and ensure vehicles comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
About You
- You are Qualified as a Diesel Mechanic.
- You have proven experience working with heavy vehicles (prime movers, trailors etc).
- You bring strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- You are committed to safety and quality in all areas of work.
- You are able to work both independantly and as part of a team.

This Quality system covers all activities by Omega Chemicals Australia wide. Procedures involving manufacturing, testing, loading and unloading, maintenance, are fully documented.
All staff are trained and regularly updated on these procedures.
