Job Title: Certified Journeyman Mechanic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, mounting and balancing tires, transmission servicing, fluid and filter replacements, brake replacements, front-end alignments, battery installations, and headlight/taillight replacements.
• Pre-screen vehicles to identify potential warranty-related issues and assess eligibility for repairs under Ford’s warranty program.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic procedures to identify vehicle issues and provide accurate repair recommendations to guests.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with provincial emissions and safety requirements.
• Perform necessary repairs and conduct test drives to confirm successful resolutions.
• Stay up to date with current industry best practices in automotive repair.
• Maintain knowledge of Ford's warranty policies, procedures, and requirements to ensure compliance.
• Keep clear, accurate, and legible paperwork for guests and company records.
• Create and maintain electronic service records.
• Clean and maintain a safe, organized work environment to promote equipment longevity and workplace safety.

Skillset, Education & Experience:

• Valid Canadian Journeyman License (required).
• Qualified Automotive Technician or Mechanic with over 3 years of light-duty mechanical experience.
• Proficiency in operating all auto repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Must be willing to work indoors/outdoors.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with alignment systems.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer skills.
• Strong organizational and sequencing abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams effectively.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation.
