Mechanic Assembly Workshop

Purpose:
Performs programmed mechanic and hydraulic advanced inspections, diagnosis and corrective actions or replacements to equipments or machines, performing systematic analysis of problems and improvement opportunities, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.
Maint Activities:
- Inspects, diagnoses and performs programmed advanced mechanic and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
- Performs reviews of emergency group repairs and complex failure analysis.
- Carries out analysis and proposal of machine and equipment upgrades or replacements.
- Performs mechanical and optical alignments.
- Interprets mechanical drawings.
- Carries out hydraulic pumps and valves setting and maintenance.
- Changes and repairs transmissions devices such as driving chains or coupling and driving flanges.
- Inspects and controls hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Carries out equipment oiling and lubrication control.
- Operates welding and oxycutting equipment.
- Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
- Develops and tests preventive maintenance plans.
- Executes machine lock outs and tag outs.
- Interacts with Base Maintenance Groups and suppliers.
- Interacts with Maintenance Engineering in the development of new equipments or assemblies.
- Carries out mechanic and hydraulic equipments, machines or subassemblies verification and reception.
- Participates in mechanic and hydraulic equipments, machines or subassemblies purchase.
- Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
- Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
