Job Description
Under general supervision, the Mechanic performs routine and non-routine maintenance to help optimize mechanical
performance and operating efficiency. Assists with light to medium repairs on oilfield-related equipment. This position will report to our Roosevelt, Utah office.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the maintenance, service, and repair of natural gas engines and salt-water pumps
- Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and replaces systems associated with engines
- Verifies dimensions, specifications, and tolerances using blueprints
- Ensures mechanical optimization of the engines, compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and cooling fans are
functioning properly
- Participates in multi-discipline teams and team-directed activities
- Works with facility engineers providing input to optimize the systems
- Ensures appropriate requirements and records are maintained
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate requirements and records are maintained
- Maximizes the number of repairs performed at the lowest appropriate cost
- Maintains compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Expands electrical trouble-shooting techniques and educates others on optimal techniques
- Utilizes knowledge of production equipment to trouble-shoot mechanical problems
- Supports and assists the members of the operations department as needed
- Collaborates with both the operational and HSE team to effectively meet area and departmental HSE goals
- Complies with all the Company's Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective
action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary
- Participates in and adheres to all training programs designed to enhance HSE knowledge, safety standards and
improve job performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year technical degree or higher preferred
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
- 0-2 years of experience in the mechanical field
- Previous experience with gas production equipment, engines, or gas compressors preferred
